Our first collection features remarkable handcrafted greeting cards and wrapping papers from India and Nepal. Between all the emails, voicemails and junk mails, what and how we communicate can sometimes seem trite and impersonal. Here is a choice with a green twist. Made from recycled natural fiber, raw materials, and organic dyes, these colorful paper products send a message that resonates. (Remember, presentation is half the battle). The idea for greenshanti evolved from our personal passion for travel and design. We came across communities of artisans of less than ordinary means creating things of extraordinary beauty.

We realized that there must be many more such communities that strive to sustain themselves by pooling their local resources and directing them into creative energy. But in spite of their resourcefulness and hard work, social and economic forces beyond their control, prevent these communities from finding a wider market.
